FAQ

Who can attend (is it just for residents of Benjamin Ave.)?

Everyone is welcome to attend.

Is this a kids' party?

No, not specifically.  This is a neighbourhood party to have some live music, a chance to chat with other residents, and enjoy the weather (fingers crossed).  There are kids' activities in case they are not interested in the music.

What should I bring?

If you'd like to sit down, please feel free to bring a blanket or chair.  You are welcome to site on the pavement or lawn at 2056 Benjamin Ave.

Since there will not be a pot luck supper, you are also encouraged to bring your own picnic items: food, beverages, etc.

Are pets allowed to attend?

Absolutely.  There might actually be some pet treats available (time permitting).  As with any environment, the pet owners are expected to maintain control of the pets.

Last time, there was a pot luck supper.  Is this going to occur again?

Unfortunately, not this time.  Due to the pandemic and although it is assumed that most people have been vaccinated, we are going to err on the side of caution and not have a pot luck supper.  People are encouraged to pack a picnic and enjoy at the party.  You are welcome to use the lawn at 2056 Benjamin Ave. for your picnic place.

Is there a permit to block off the street?

Yes.  Permits are obtained from the City of Ottawa for this event.

Do you need volunteers?

A few folks are needed to help with setup/teardown as well as the kids' activities.  If you are interested in helping out, please click on the "Contact Us" page link and get in touch with us.  Thanks in advance.
